Celebrate Recovery (CR) is in 25,000 churches worldwide (most in the U.S.).  Celebrate Recovery is for anyone with the courage to be honest about life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups and willing to open their life to healing and change. Participants open the door by sharing their experiences and hopes with one another. In addition, they become willing to accept God’s grace and forgiveness in solving life’s problems. This ministry is being supported by Grace Redeemer but is available to all people, whether or not they attend our church.

WHAT IS CELEBRATE RECOVERY?
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery ministry based on the Beatitudes. The purpose of CR is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the 12 steps and 8 recovery principles. By applying these principles we experience freedom from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups creating peace, serenity, joy and a stronger personal relationship with God and others. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to share struggles and a place where we can take off our masks. A place where you hear the words: “Nobody walks alone.” Celebrate Recovery changes lives!

Tuesday Morning Women's Bible Study

The Tuesday morning (9:30am)  Bible study groups will be studying the Books of 2 Peter and Jude, called “Life Change Series.”  The early church had learned how to deal with persecution from outside the community, but needed help defending themselves against those who would destroy their community from the inside. Differences within the community were not uncommon, but the church was facing those who purposely distorted the gospel for their own gain. Peter and Jude denounce these false teachers, encouraging their readers to stand firm in the faith, holding to the promise that Jesus would someday return.

Costs are $10 for book.  Childcare is available: $40 for first child and $14 for each additional child.  Email with questions.

Fall 2018 ACE Classes

  • Grace Redeemer Church (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Choose between two, 4-week courses designed to equip you to spiritually invest in your kids or to reach out in conversation with your non-Christian friends and family.

“Gospel Parenting Principles” facilitated by Karen Jacobsen. Parenting is hard work, but what could be more important in your life than being one of God’s tools to form a human soul? This is not just another parenting class that will leave you with 100 strategies that you don’t have time to practice with your kids.  Rather, this streaming course from Paul Tripp will explore four timeless principles that will encourage and empower you to infuse the Gospel in your parenting.  Prepare to be encouraged and challenged by the content.

“Fools for Christ: Addressing Our Friends’ Objections to the Gospel” taught by Steve Sage, Mo Hanna, John Gregory, and Peter Wang. For many people today, Christianity is dismissed, because it is increasingly counter-cultural. Rather than considering the claims of the gospel directly, they hold beliefs that, if true, make it seem like Christianity couldn’t possibly be true. This course will address some of these issues with the goal to equip us to cut through these assumptions in spiritual conversations with our friends or acquaintances so that the gospel can be heard, perhaps, for the first time.

Questions, email Pastor Steve Sage.
