Fall 2018 ACE Classes

Join us on Sept 9 for an orientation to ACE and a preview of upcoming courses.

Beginning Sept 16, we’ll offer two courses: “Walking in the Way of Wisdom” exploring the Old Testament wisdom books taught by Pastor Steve and “The Art of Marriage” facilitated by Lee & Sharon Augsburger.

“Walking in the Way of Wisdom” taught by Steve Sage.

This course surveys the OT wisdom books to help you grow in godliness through the principles of Proverbs, even during times of confusion like Job’s, and with the sharp realism and eternal perspective of Ecclesiastes.

“The Art of Marriage” facilitated by Lee and Sharon Augsburger.

Marriage is a masterpiece of God’s creation. We’ll explore ways in which our marriages can become even richer ministries of grace to our spouses, our families and the world around us by discussing God’s marriage design and purpose, the effects of sin on marriage, communication challenges and conflicts, as well as the differing roles of husbands and wives.

Monday Night Women's Bible Study

The Monday night (7:30pm)  Bible study groups will be studying the Books of 2 Peter and Jude, called “Life Change Series.”  The early church had learned how to deal with persecution from outside the community, but needed help defending themselves against those who would destroy their community from the inside. Differences within the community were not uncommon, but the church was facing those who purposely distorted the gospel for their own gain. Peter and Jude denounce these false teachers, encouraging their readers to stand firm in the faith, holding to the promise that Jesus would someday return.

Costs are $10 for book.  Register at the Events Table or online.

Celebrate Recovery (CR) is in 25,000 churches worldwide (most in the U.S.).  Celebrate Recovery is for anyone with the courage to be honest about life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups and willing to open their life to healing and change. Participants open the door by sharing their experiences and hopes with one another. In addition, they become willing to accept God’s grace and forgiveness in solving life’s problems. This ministry is being supported by Grace Redeemer but is available to all people, whether or not they attend our church.

WHAT IS CELEBRATE RECOVERY?
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery ministry based on the Beatitudes. The purpose of CR is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the 12 steps and 8 recovery principles. By applying these principles we experience freedom from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups creating peace, serenity, joy and a stronger personal relationship with God and others. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to share struggles and a place where we can take off our masks. A place where you hear the words: “Nobody walks alone.” Celebrate Recovery changes lives!
