Gathering Spaces are Taking Shape

Through the month of December and the holidays, our major gathering spaces are taking shape from the major work being done to enlarge the rooms for our needs. As Ken Lont said in our December 31st service, we are coming down the home stretch.

Here is our Sanctuary space, the ceilings were taken down and raised and new walls were constructed to enlarge the room. We have also built out a new “overflow” space adjacent to the Sanctuary with views of the Sanctuary as well. The walls and ceilings are in place in the final 2 images in this slideshow.

Part of all this construction includes a new entryway from the parking lot in the back of the building that opens up to the Fellowship Hall.

Finally, our major gathering/fellowship space is getting some love with a new wider entryway and a fixed concrete floor: it is ready for the new resilient flooring.
