Stewardship Comes in Many Forms

Stewardship is spoken about in many ways—and takes many forms—in the Bible. God gave us many gifts, from the personal skills and abilities to the concrete means by which we are housed, fed, clothed. But we are called not to sit idly by, doing only for ourselves with these gifts, but to be good stewards of every gift from our Lord.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10)

That stewardship takes many forms. Our vision campaign, Growing in Grace, is built on the notion of our being good stewards of what we have been gifted with here in Bergen County, a growing congregation of Gospel-centered believers, not just to sit idly by but to build and grow for His Kingdom.

We have been gifted with 21 Harristown Road. It is time to make that grow. Sometimes, stewardship means getting our hands and bodies dirty, cleaning out the property, laying down mulch, caring for our grounds. That is exactly what some of our men (and one young lady) did earlier this year as they prepped the property for the summer season. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to prepare our new home.
