We are hosting the Empowered to Connect Simulcast again here at Grace Redeemer on Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th, from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Though this conference is geared towards adoptive and foster parents, it is great for all parents to attend and learn about the effects of trauma and how to better attach and connect with your children, even while correcting them. This training is great for all parents as well as for Sunday school teachers, classroom teachers and professionals who work with children. This is what two parents from our church had to say about the conference:
“As the mother of a five year old, I gained a wealth of valuable information. The heart of the training for me was the focus on the importance of raising children in an emotionally stable, loving and nurturing environment. It is a training I highly recommend if you are truly invested in empowering your child to succeed in a safe, loving home.”
From the mom of a nine and thirteen year old: “This training was valuable since it contained lots practical advice on how to build or rebuild Attachment and Connection. In fact, the time invested was so valuable that I will attend a second time! I recommend the conference to anyone that loves children and wants to receive the perfect tools to improve connection, attachment and shape the behaviors of any child they work with.”
I’d encourage you to attend this simulcast. Even if you can only come for part of the time, it will be beneficial. We will provide coffee, drinks and snacks throughout the day, but the lunch break will be on your own from 1:00-2:30pm. The suggested donation, collected on the day of the event, is $10. Please consider attending and invite friends to attend.
